MODERN NAVY SEAL WEAPONS
FN MK20
The FN MK20, U.S. Special Operations Command notified FN that the MK 20 MOD 0 Sniper Support Rifle (SSR)—a variant of the Special Operations Forces Combat Assault Rifle (SCAR) family of weapons, MK 17 (7.62mm)—was granted Milestone C and approved for full-rate production. The Full-Rate Production Decision Review by the Milestone Decision Authority occurred on October 28, 2010.
FN MK17 SCAR Long Barrel
The FN SCAR STD assault rifle is chambered in 7.62x51mm NATO caliber and is fitted with a standard 16″ barrel.
The operator can replace the standard barrel with a short 13″ barrel for close quarter combat in less than five minutes. The rifle is then called SCAR®-H CQC.
FN SCAR CQC w/Grenade Launcher
The FN SCAR CQC assault rifle can be fitted with the FN40 grenade launcher mounted on the lower rail of the rifle, for additional firepower.
The SCAR CQC assault rifle is chambered in 7.62x51mm NATO caliber and is fitted with a short 13″ barrel for close quarter combat.
The operator can replace the short barrel with a standard 16″ barrel in less than five minutes if the mission requires engagement at longer distances.
HK MP5N
HK MP5N (9mm). Developed exclusively for one of the world’s most elite special operations unit, the MP5-N (Navy) model comes standard with an ambidextrous trigger group (safe, single fire, & full automatic fire) and threaded barrel. Operationally tested and proven, this configuration represents the essence of the modern submachine gun.
HK MP5 SD
The MP5SD (9mm) is the full-time suppressed variant of the MP5 submachine gun. This version uses an integral aluminum or optional wet-technology stainless steel sound suppressor. Due to its ported barrel, it does not require use of subsonic ammunition for effective sound reduction like most conventional sound suppressed submachine guns. The removable sound suppressor is integrated into the weapon’s design and conforms to the normal length and profile of a conventional, unsuppressed submachine.
FN MK13 Stand Alone Grenade Launcher
The FN Mk 13 grenade launcher weighs 2.8 kg (incl. leaf sight) and features a retractable buttstock that makes the weapon very compact (not exceeding 528mm). This ensures easy transport and quick engagement.
COLT M4A1
The M4A1 and its variants fire 5.56mm rounds and are gas operatted, air-cooled, magazine fed (some full auto) weapons. They are still in use but have been mainly replaced by the FN SCAR series.
HK MK 23 SOCOM .45
HK MK23 is one of the most thoroughly tested handguns in history, the MK23/Mark 23 project originated in 1991 when HK began development for the U.S. Special Operations Command, the organization that directs the activities of America’s most elite military units, including the Navy SEALs and the Army Special Forces.
Smith & Wesson 686 .357
Smith & Wesson 686 .357. This is an excellent 7 shot revolver that is used primarily for Over The Beach or Dive Operations for its reliability in and out of the water.
SIg 226 Navy
The SIG SAUER P226 is the pistol that set the standard by which all other combat handguns are measured. Designed as SIG’s entrant in the military trials to replace the 1911, today the P226 is in use by the Federal agents, and numerous law enforcement agencies including the Texas Rangers, Ohio State Highway Patrol and the Michigan State Police to name a few. The exceptional ergonomics and balance make this full-size pistol easy to handle. Its longer barrel yields better ballistic performance and accuracy. The P226 Navy is identical to the pistol carried by the U.S. Navy SEALs-the fleet’s special warfare operators. The railed P226 chambered in 9mm and engraved with an anchor on the left side of the slide is the official sidearm of the SEALs.
The SIG P228 is supremely reliable out of the box. Its reliability can only be matched by the P226. The P228 (Compact 13-round) and both are type classified as the M11.
Remington 870 Tactical Shotgun (12gau.)
Remington 870 Tactical Shot Gun. The Model 870™ Express Tactical has a quickpointing 18 1/2″ barrel and includes an extended ported Tactical Rem Choke. It packs a full 7 rounds of 2 3/4″ or 3″ 12-gauge firepower with the factoryinstalled 2-shot extension.
The AK 47 is a selective-fire, gas-operated 7.62×39mm assault rifle, first developed in the Soviet Union by Mikhail Kalashnikov. The SEALs have the AK 47 in the inventory for a variety of missions. It is one of the most reliable weapons ever made and makes for a great choice when having to swim a weapon over the beach.
M-14 7.62mm with 20 round magazine
The M14 7.62 Semiautomatic machine gun continues to be a work horse in the SEAL Teams. The powerful 7.62 round, 800 yard effective range, coupled with a 20 round magazine make it an excellent choice for SEAL Operators in desert or open terrain missions.
M249 5.56mm Machine Gun
The M249 5.56mm Machine Gun is gas operated and air-cooled. It has a quick-change barrel, allowing the gunner to rapidly replace an overheated or jammed barrel. A folding bipod is attached near the front of the gun. It can be fed from both linked ammo and M4 magazines.
M240B/N Machine Gun (7.62)
The M240B/N (aka M60) Machine Gun. All variants are fed from disintegrating belts, and are capable of firing most types of 7.62 mm NATO ammunition. M240 variants can use non-disintegrating belts (following replacement of a few easily swappable parts). There are significant differences in weight and some features among some versions which restrict interchangeability of parts. The M240s used by the US military are currently manufactured by FN Manufacturing, a US-based branch of FN Hersta
