Robert H. Constante Jr

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Robert H. Constante Jr. Bobby graduated with BUD/S Class 59 in Coronado, California in February of 1971. Following graduation, he served with Underwater Demolition Team ELEVEN.

WAYNESVILLE — Mr. Bobby Constante, 60 of Waynesville, passedaway Wednesday Feb. 29, 2012, at the Virginia CommonwealthUniversity Medical Center. Bobby was born in Southport to JoyceGilreath Constante and the late Robert H. Constante, and had livedmost of his life in Haywood County. Bobby served the country in theU.S. Navy as a Navy SEAL. He was preceded in death by his fatherRobert H. Constante in September 2011.



Survivors include his mother Joyce Gilreath Constante, of Waynesville;brothers, Shane Contstante, and his wife Louetta, of Canton, JohnConstante, and his wife, Wanda, of Waynesville; sister, YvonneRhodes, and her husband, Bill, of Greenville, South Carolina; andseveral nieces and nephews.



A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday March 4, in thefuneral home chapel. The family will receive friends at 1 p.m. Thefamily would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of theVirginia Commonwealth University Medical Center CCU 11th floorfor their attentive and compassionate care and the Navy SEAL Medicswho were present during his hospital stay.
