Scott Allen Neill, Class 186

It is with great sadness that the UDT-SEAL Association informs the membership of the passing of Scott Allen Neill - Class 186 USN (Ret.)

Scott Allen Neill, 40, of Virginia Beach, VA, passed away suddenly on August 15, 2009.

A native of Ashtabula, Ohio, he retired from the United States Navy after 20 years as a Navy Seal. He was the recipient of 2 Bronze Stars with Valor served from 1993-2001 at Seal Team 2 and from 2001-2006 at NSWDG with numerous deployments to Afghanistan, Kuwait and Iraq. He had been employed with Osen-Hunter Group as a Security Specialist for 2 years.

He is survived by his daughter, Aidan Nicole Neill of Virginia Beach, VA; two sisters, Helen Bays of Cleveland, OH and Kimberley Oberhause of Gibsonburg, OH; his mother, Colleen Artress of Ashtabula, OH; his companion, Jenny Hafner; and numerous cousins, nephews, aunts, uncles; and his Team Brothers.

A Memorial Service: will be conducted Friday August 21th at 11 a.m. at Little Creek Amphibious Base Chapel with Chaplain Tim Springer officiating.

A graveside Service: with military honors will be held at Colonial Grove Memorial Park Friday August 21th at 1 p.m.

The family will receive friends: at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Neck Chapel Thursday, August 20th from 6 to 9 p.m. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.hollomon-brown.com.
