It is with great sadness that the UDT-SEAL Association informs its membership about the passing of HM1 James W. Myers, USN (Ret.) on July 29, 2010.

James W. Myers, 68, of Edgerton, passed away on Thursday, July 29, 2010, at his home with his loving family by his side. Jim retired from the US Navy after 20 years of service in 1983. He was assigned to Naval Special Warfare and served with UDT-21, ST-1 and UDT-12.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, Kayaking, taking his dog for rides and watching Jeopardy. He was a life member of the V.F.W., the Military Order of The Purple Heart and Vietnam Veterans. He was also a member of the Marine Corps League and the UDT-SEAL Association, Knights of Columbus and past Grand Knight, a Eucharistic Minister and an Usher at St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Jim is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Joan of Edgerton; two daughters, Stacy (Josh) Finn of Edgerton and Sara Lund of Janesville; two grandchildren, Madison and Brooke Finn; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Trisha; and one son, James.
